It is the professional membership body for dermatologists in the UK and is focused on developing educational content and courses, facilitating and publishing dermatology research, running dermatology registries, holding dermatology events and conferences, promoting innovation in dermatology care, and engaging with decision-makers and stakeholders within the dermatology community and wider health system.

First published in 1888, the British Journal of Dermatology (BJD) has evolved into one of the world’s leading general dermatology journals., which publishes the highest-quality research to advance the understanding and management of skin disease to improve patient outcomes, focusing on epidemiology, clinical trials, translational research, and guidelines. The BJD brand is underpinned by the provision of trusted information and encourages contributions from professionals worldwide.
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology (CED) provides educational material for practicing clinicians and dermatological researchers. It is the educational journal of the BAD which attracts globally relevant contributions from around the world.
