Accepted manuscript embargo periods

Oxford University Press journals operate a range of self-archiving policies, allowing authors to make a version of their article available on their own websites, through their institutions and/or in a variety of subject based repositories.

The list below provides an indication of the embargo periods for self-archiving Accepted Manuscripts, after which time the Accepted Manuscript can be made available in the repository. For full details of the self-archiving policy for each journal, including which versions of an article can be shared, and where they may be made available, please click on the journal’s title.

For articles published under an Open Access licence, in a hybrid or a fully OA journal, articles can be made available immediately according to the terms of their specific Creative Common licence. If you have published an article under an Open Access licence, we would encourage you to share the Version of Record on publication as opposed to the Accepted Manuscript.
