Self-Promotion Materials Request Form

You can use this form to request a flyer and/or social media image to help you spread the word about your book. These materials can promote a free chapter, discount code, or simply highlight the key features of your book. You can select your preferred options below.

We can only create promotional materials when your book is available on the OUP website, so that potential readers can find out more or order your book. Free chapters are available after the digital version of your book has published, and we make chapters free for one month at a time.

Please note that it will take 10 working days for us to prepare any promotional materials that you request.

Temporary pause in discount promotional materials

We are modernizing and streamlining our back-office systems and processes by introducing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. You can find further information regarding the changes OUP is making to its systems and processes here: https://corp-oup-com.libproxy.ucl.ac.uk/erp.

As we migrate to our new systems, we will need to close our current systems for a number of weeks from mid-March to mid-April.  During this period, we will not be able to process sales from the OUP website. Discount codes will not work for this period, so we will not be able to provide discount flyers or social media images until mid-April. If you do decide to request a discount flyer or social media image, we will keep this on file and send the materials to you once our systems are back online.

We are still able to provide promotional materials featuring a free chapter from the digital version of your book, and we encourage you to choose this option for the time being. On average, the free chapters that our authors share are viewed 50 times in their free month, so we believe that this is a particularly effective way to encourage people to read your work.
